John Seal

John Seal is a Member of the DCCP Advisory Board. John served as Head of Direct Lending at Aberdeen Standard Investments. He is also the co-founder of New Amsterdam Capital (NAC), a boutique investor in public and private non-investment grade credit, primarily for Private Equity buyouts. At NAC he was Managing Director and launched an early-stage investment platform. Most recently, he acted as CFO at Oceanium, an ag / wellness tech start-up. John started his career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in New York, followed by different positions at ING Barings and Barclays Capital. John holds an MBA (Finance) degree of the City University of New York.
